Preparing for the implementation of our new hospital information system requires a dedicated team that brings together clinical and enabling expertise.  We are excited to share an initial set of job opportunities to support this significant project.

The Position:

 

This newly created position will report to the Training Manager, Hospital Information System (HIS). The Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of training activities and trainers as well as supporting the training team, maintaining the training schedule and managing logistics to ensure all users are trained prior the launch of the hospital information system.

 

Here’s what you will get to do:

  • Support training team by coordinating logistics, and supporting training team work.
  • Work with the training manager to develop training schedules.
  • Collaborate with managers to sign staff up for training.
  • Work with the Training Manager and Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to develop professional staff training schedule.
  • Contribute to scheduling of credentialed trainers.
  • Support the Training Manager in securing external space for training.
  • Contribute to successful end-user training.
  • Ensure training materials are prepped for each training session.
  • Respond to staff questions and concerns.
  • Provide a great learning environment, effectively communicate status, and resolves issues.
  • Support the development of the online training platform to assign and enroll attendee’s in classes.

Here’s what you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver training content and design course schedules is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Advanced communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.
  • Proven track record of working in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and be results-oriented.
