Trillium Health Partners will be hosting a Virtual Nursing Career Fair on September 23rd  and September 24th. We have opportunities in all areas of nursing including Emergency Department, Renal, Clinical Resource Team, Critical Care, In-Patient Medicine, Operating Room and Surgery.

Date and Time:

Thursday September 23rd  10:00AM – 5:00PM

Friday September 24th 10:00AM – 4:00PM

 

Location:

Virtual via Zoom. Qualified candidates will be invited for an interview.

Nursing Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing and preferably hold a Baccalaureate degree
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
  • BCLS required
  • Highly effective decision making, problem solving and organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

 

Primary Areas for Recruitment:

 

Clinical Resource Team

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years medicine experience
  • Patient Assessment Course (preferred)

 

Emergency Department

 

Qualifications:  

  • Minimum 3 years current emergency/critical care experience
  • Previous Med/Surgical experience with patient assessment course an asset
  • Cardiology, Critical Care and/or Emergency courses a definite asset
  • Emergency Certificate preferred
  • ACLS and PALS required (or in progress)
  • Cardiac monitoring skills required

 

Intensive Care Unit

 

Qualifications:

  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
  • 3-5 years Intensive Care Unit nursing experience or successful completion of a recognized intensive care course with 1 year of ICU nursing experience preferred
  • 2 years of acute medical/surgical and Neurosurgical experience preferred
  • Advanced arrhythmias and 12 lead ECG interpretation
  • Experienced with monitors, pumps, ECG machines, phlebotomy, and invasive pressure monitoring ventilators.
  • Critical Care certification required or in progress

 

Operating Room

 

Qualifications:      

  • 3-5 years of recent or current OR experience required
  • Successful completion of a recognized O.R. Certificate course from an approved teaching institution required
  • Certification in sanctioned medical acts and added nursing skills
  • Completion of the CAN Certification of Perioperative nursing would be considered an asset

 

Surgery

 

Qualifications:      

  • Recent 2 years surgical experience is required
  • A physical assessment course preferred
  • Previous experience in rehab and general surgery is required

 

Inpatient Medicine

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years acute care medical/surgical experience preferred
  • Completion of a physical assessment course
  • Experience working with acute care medicine patient populations, including respirology, nephrology, cardiology patients requiring telemetry monitoring and geriatric patients

 

Renal

 

Qualifications:

  • Nephrology Certificate Program completed or in progress preferred
  • Recent renal experience, preferred
  • Completion of the Renal Course at a Community College preferred
  • acute medicine/surgery experience required

 

Women's and Children's

 

Qualifications:

  • NICU Certificate preferred
  • Current or recent experience in NICU
  • Current NRP Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Breastfeeding support experience, breastfeeding courses an asset
  • Perinatal Nursing High Risk Obstetrics Program Certificate in progress and/or willingness to enrol and complete in 1st year of employment in Birthing Suite
