POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join the Quality Improvement (QI) team at THP. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Improvement, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in the creation and delivery of reports and presentations on Accreditation progress, comprehension of all Accreditation standards relevant to THP and assessing the organization’s performance against each standard, in addition to working with Programs and Departments across THP to ensure policies meet Accreditation requirements.

 

The QI team resides within the Quality, Risk & Patient Safety Department and looks to advance the hospital’s goals of fostering a culture of Quality and Safety. The initiatives undertaken by the QI team are aimed at improving quality, access and sustainability to drive safety. This exciting role not only offers an opportunity to make a significant impact across our multi-site structure, it will also work to deliver a new kind of health care for a healthier community.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the planning and coordination with stakeholders to ensure all THP policies and procedures meet Accreditation standards.
  • Support the policy development process for Programs and Departments as required.
  • Work with the Senior Project Manager on coordinating and scheduling various Accreditation Committee meetings, dissemination of agenda and minutes.
  • Support the monitoring, reporting, identification of risks against multiple accreditations in Programs and Departments.
  • Manage multiple project goals, timelines, milestones, and resources in collaboration with programs, and enabling services.
  • Coordinating and supporting the development of the Accreditation Handbook.
  • Assist in organizing and planning mock tracers across all three hospital sites and collating the results for feedback to teams.
  • Help educate and support comprehension of standards and requirements.
  • Provide support by creating Accreditation Education and Communication content (i.e. posters, videos, presentations etc.) and assist in scheduling and coordinating promotional and educational events for Accreditation at THP.
  • Collaborate with programs and departments to collect and document evidence requirements for
  • Accreditation.
  • Support and manage the logistics for the on-site survey.
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideal candidates must have an undergraduate degree in business, life sciences or a health-related discipline.
  • A Master’s degree in business administration, public administration or health policy, management and evaluation is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with complex and dynamic teams; experience in the healthcare sector is an asset.
  • Experience in Accreditation Preparation and/or policies and standards development is ideal.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and/or Lean Six Sigma principles, methods, and tools an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse teams/stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication ability (oral and written)
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, analyze, share, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project planning skills.
