Position: Clinical Manager, Cardiac Health

Status: Permanent Full-time                    

Department:  Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab and Cardiac Triage

Base Rate: $104,300

Job Rate (Experienced hire): $130,450

Max Rate (Maximum salary potential, achieved by progressing through this band): $156,550

Position Overview

 

Reporting directly to the Program Director, Cardiac Health Program with accountability to the Program Chief & Medical Director, Cardiac Health Program, at Mississauga site Hospital is an integral member of the Program’s leadership team.  This position includes oversight of Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab and Cardiac Triage.

Leadership Responsibilities 

  • Plan, coordinate and effectively manage resources (e.g. financial, human, physical space, equipment and materials) in alignment with the Hospital’s strategic plan
  • Oversee the quality of care delivered by the team in collaboration with the Clinical Educator; Clinical Leaders: and Physician Leads at the Mississauga Hospital
  • Oversee the effective management of patient flow for cardiac patients through Cath and EP labs
  • Recognize, assess and mitigate risks related to patient care and patient and staff/physician safety
  • Review, analyze and apply program performance data to support decision-making and continuous quality improvement
  • Manage all aspects of employee relations including: human resource planning; recruitment, performance management; coaching/mentoring; scheduling within collective bargaining units; and professional development
  • Actively support the development of the Cardiac Health Program through participation in work with stakeholders both internal and external to THP
  • Plans, organizes and co-ordinates daily operations of Cath Lab and EP Lab in collaboration with physician leads and multidisciplinary team members
  • Works with internal and external partners in contract negotiations and renewals

 

Qualifications 

  • Regulated Health Professional in Ontario; Nursing background preferred
  • Baccalaureate degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred (e.g. Health Administration, Leadership, Quality)
  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience in clinical operations, preferably in a Cardiac Health environment, with previous Cath Lab experience and leadership preferred
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office, working knowledge with EPIC an asset
  • Excellent performance and attendance record required
  • Excellent oral, written and non-verbal communication skills with ability to establish positive relationships/partnerships with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, as well as patients and their families
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fast-paced environment, excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Proven success in managing changing and transforming workplace culture
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • ACLS certified and asset

 

Position Location and Travel:

 

Travel between all sites of Trillium Health Partners may be required.
