We are currently seeking a motivated Senior Advisor to become the newest member of a dynamic and fast-paced team in the Department of Medical Affairs. The successful candidate will be able to keep up with rapid change, have strong interpersonal skills, and is willing to take on new challenges.

 

The Department of Medical Affairs supports clinical Program Leaders in meeting the credentialing, recruitment, performance management and quality of care needs of the over 1300 Professional Staff (i.e. physicians, midwives and dentists) at Trillium Health Partners.

 

Reporting to the Manager of Medical Affairs, the Senior Advisor will be responsible for supporting the operations of the department as well as supporting key projects that positively impact quality of care.  The Senior Advisor will also focus on the integration of project planning and delivery in order to identify dependencies, maximize opportunities for collaboration and minimize risks and issues. 

 

Specific responsibilities/accountabilities include:

  • Managing the recruitment and credentialing process for Professional Staff, and supporting the reappointment process for Professional Staff;
  • Supporting clinical Program Leaders in managing Professional Staff performance and practice issues;
  • Participating in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals to all levels of the organization;
  • Participating in the planning and implementation of key projects, as directed by the Director, Medical Administration;
  • Supporting the implementation of change management plans that maximize professional staff engagement, ensuring smooth adoption of changes impacting professional staff and the organization;
  • Coordinating the development of formal reports and communications to the Professional Staff, Program Committee meetings, and the Board of Directors as required;
  • Supporting a number of multi-stakeholder project work streams, including process re-design
  • Supporting the development and execution of services agreements with Professional Staff; and
  • Supporting the development and monitoring of policies and procedures that impact Professional Staff;

Qualifications:          

  • University degree in related field (this may include clinical)
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry/hospital environment
  • Experience in the recruitment and credentialing of Professional Staff is an asset;
  • Ability to be agile and responsive to changing priorities
  • Effective interpersonal communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently problem solve and work in ambiguity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations required
