Position:  Diagnostic Imaging Student

Dept: Diagnostic Imaging - Xray/CT

Status:  Temporary Part Time (2 positions) – Up to six (6) months

Role Level:  ST90 – Student ($20.65)

Site: All sites (Credit Valley Hospital, Queensway Hospital, Mississauga Hospital)

Hours of Work/Shifts: 8 Hours; Available to work all shifts (Days, Evenings, and Weekends)

Position Summary:

 

Working in collaboration with a regulated health care professional, the Diagnostic Imaging Student will:

  • Foster and maintain a positive environment that ensures patients feel informed and cared for;
  • Facilitate patient navigation and way finding;
  • Provide non-consent related patient education;
  • Perform adhoc administrative functions to support the unit by answering the phone and providing scheduling assistance;
  • Other duties as assigned to support the care team.

 

Qualifications:

  • In final year or recently graduated from a CMRITO approved education program in Ontario;
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize limitations;
  • Typing and computer experience an asset;
  • Self-directed, reliable and motivated;
  • Organized, detail-oriented, good analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication skills; and
  • Satisfactory attendance and performance is required.
