Job Description:

The registered physiotherapist will be accountable for the assessment of referred patients in the emergency department. Also included are the planning and implementation of treatment and/or education programs to improve function and/ or prevent disability, as well as recording and communicating findings to team members.

 

THP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.


Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must be a graduate of an accredited School of Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the College of Physiotherapy and membership with the C.P.A. is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably the emergency department.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working independently as well as liaising with community resources and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required, Weekend availability required
