Position Summary:
- Responsible for providing assessment and treatment programs for referred patients; including patient and family education
- Act in a consultant role to effectivly manage patient population
- Assign activities, as appropriate, to the assistants and supervises effectively
- Provide clinical teaching, mentoring and/or supervision for Physiotherapy students
- Engage with inter-professional education experiences with students of Physiotherapy
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Independent Practice Certificate with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Cardiology, cardiac surgery, and/or intensive care experience an asset
- Eligibility for active membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support preferred
- Excellent assessment and treatment skills
- Leadership capacity within an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision
- A good understanding of and experience with the OTA/PTA role required
- Good organizational, planning and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills

Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Director, In-Patient Medicine, with accountability to the Program Chief & Medical Director, Medicine, the Clinical Manager, is an integral member of the Program’s leadership team. This role has responsibility for a team on Unit 1B Medicine at the Credit Valley Hospital. Unit 1B-Medicine is currently an acute, in-patient unit whose team cares for patients with complex and often chronic medical conditions.

Leadership Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and effectively manage resources and operations (e.g. financial, human, physical space, equipment and materials, day to day operations) in alignment with the Hospital’s strategic plan.
- Oversee the quality of care delivered by the inter-professional team in collaboration with the other leaders in the Program, and partners in Quality and Risk, Professional Practice and Human Resources.

- Manage all aspects of employee relations including: human resource planning; recruitment, performance management; coaching/mentoring and professional development.
- Manage unit specific aspects of patient relations including managing complaints, liaising with patient relations, communicating with patients and their families.
- Actively lead components of and support the overall execution of the In-Patient Medicine work plan.

IHS has launched a first of it’s kind First Responder Mental Health Program. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary assessment and treatment team the Occupational Therapist (OT) will play a key role in the triaging, assessment and treatment of individuals referred to IHS from the WSIB. They will work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health clinicians, and kinesiologists to determine what the client needs are clinically to make a full functional recovery, as well as liaise with external community healthcare providers and insurers to ensure a safe transition from the program to the community.
The role will work closely with clients, customers and other front-line clinicians to deliver a high quality, evidence-based program that focuses on returning clients to function and reducing impairment and disability – all in an innovative environment.

- Participate in interprofessional assessments to identify psychological impairment and make treatment and return to work (RTW) recommendations.

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse First Assistant is an experienced perioperative nurse who functions at an advanced level of perioperative nursing practice. As a multidisciplinary team member, the RNFA participates in and provides a thorough application of knowledge in the areas of anatomy, physiology, disease, pathology, and operative techniques; exposure of the surgical site, handling of tissue, wound closure, and patient management, as directed by the surgeon.

Job Description:
Therapeutic Recreationist utilizes recreation to maximize independence and promote an optimal leisure lifestyle. You are responsible for assessments, interventions, and evaluations to promote skill development in the physical, cognitive, affective, social, and spiritual domains, in addition to non-direct client activities. You will practice in accordance with the Standards of Practice set out by TRO.
Therapeutic Recreationist provides coordinated interprofessional care within the health care continuum, assisting patients in the transition from the hospital to the community. The Therapeutic Recreationist will assess patients, and where appropriate, set therapeutic goals with the patient and family, including discharge to a community program/service. The Therapeutic Recreationist provides assessment of physical, cognitive, affective, social, and spiritual dysfunction, along with leisure interests, as well as treatment to promote better performance in functional activities, maximize potential and optimize function for maximal independence. Also included are the planning and implementation of treatment and/or education programs to improve function and independence, and transitioning patient safely from hospital to their home and/or with the connection to community programs and/or services.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized Therapeutic Recreation course or equivalent
- Current BCLS is recommended
- Current Gentle Persuasive Approaches certification recommended
- Membership in Therapeutic Recreation Ontario is preferred

List of Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Participate, as part of the interprofessional team, in goal setting, evaluation and discharge planning

- Provide education, and make recommendations to appropriate community programs/services in conjunction with patient to set an effective discharge plan.
- Obtain and document informed consent for assessment and treatment by Therapeutic Recreationist
- Communicate patient assessment findings, treatment program, and progress with other health care professionals involved in the patient’s care and share responsibility for development and implementation of interprofessional care where indicated
- Participate in weekly interprofessional progress rounds, monthly professional practice meetings, business meetings and program meetings
- Participate in the co-ordination of patient treatment and communicate with other community health care professionals within the “circle of care”
- Assist and participate in developing, implementing and practicing quality improvement within the program/unit.
- Liaises with external care providers to ensure care needs are met and safety is maintained
- Maintain and research community partnerships with community programs/services for effective discharge planning
Non-Patient Care:
- Document relevant assessment data, keep current and timely progress and discharge notes for all referred patients while following the professional standards
- Document required workload measurements data in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist in the education, supervision and orientation of Therapeutic Recreation interns/students/volunteers in the hospital

Overview:
The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre at the Trillium Health Partners Credit Valley Hospital Site is seeking a full-time Accelerator Service Technologist who will work in collaboration with the Medical Physics team to provide radiation treatment machine maintenance, service and technical support in Radiation Oncology.
The Radiation Oncology program at the Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre has 6 Radiation Treatment Linear Accelerators and 2 CT Simulation/Scanner suites. The Cancer Centre is integrated with a Radiation Oncology Information System providing an infrastructure for electronic data in Radiation Oncology.
As an integral part of our Medical Physics team, the Accelerator Technologist will join a team of staff providing technical support working within a multidisciplinary team.
Note: The nature of this patient treatment operation may require the job to have on-call schedule and to provide off-hour coverage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide regular and emergency repairs, service/regular maintenance to radiotherapy treatment units and simulators in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Interact with vendor service personnel from equipment manufacturers to affect repairs, and remain with service personnel during non-working hours when necessary.
- Responsible for preparation and delivery of equipment service reports.
- Responsible for maintaining an appropriate parts inventory.
- Maintain records related to equipment alerts and advisories as issued by manufacturer or other regulatory bodies
- Maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures, WHMIS and CVH, PRCC and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a 3 year Electronic Technologist/Engineering diploma from a recognized community college or post-secondary institution.
- Preferably 3-5 years of X-ray equipment repair. Diagnostic imaging, CT or MRI service is an asset.
- Specialized service training by Varian for medical linear accelerator servicing and associated peripheral components preferred
- Vendor and on-the-job training will be provided to satisfy the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission's License requirements for Class II prescribed equipment maintenance and service
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of analogue and digital circuits and a familiarity of clinical applications and networking.
- Experience with high voltage, high vacuum, high power microwave technology, electronic control systems, computers, robotics and microprocessor-based controllers is an asset.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is an asset.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager – Perioperative Care, the nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to provide nursing practice that is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Day Surgery nursing care includes: preoperative preparation and care of surgical patients (elective and urgent/emergent),knowledge of different surgeries and the relevant preparation, review of patient’s health assessment, medication reconciliation and identification of issues potentially impacting the patient’s surgical procedure. The candidate will provide pre and post-operative care to elective and urgent/emergent surgery patients with exemplary post-op teaching involving the patient and family
Qualifications:
- Candidate will be a graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing and preferably hold a Baccalaureate degree.
- Current certification or eligibility for Certification of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of acute post-operative surgical nursing care experience is required
- Previous Day Surgery experience is preferred
- Demonstrated consistency in approachability, clinical excellence, patience, respectful interactions and diplomacy
- Highly developed critical thinking and reasoning skills for problem-solving and managing emergency situations
- Ability to effectively prioritize patient and family needs in conjunction with the interprofessional care team
- Professional communication skills both oral and written
- Commitment to life-long learning and evidence of on-going professional development
- Competence with Meditech and computer documentation an asset
- Satisfactory attendance and performance required
