The Inpatient Medicine & ICU Program at THP consists of a total of more than 350 beds across the CVH & MH and is staffed by large interprofessional teams who support the care of complex medicine patients within the Mississauga-Halton LHIN. Our in-patient units offer first-rate care in an innovative environment supporting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients. Required Qualifications:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a significant role to provide senior technical and operational leadership and oversight of the Hospital’s Information Services and Technology aligned with the organization’s digital and analytics roadmap, goals and objectives. Reporting to the Chief Information and Analytics Officer (CIAO), the CTO will provide technical and operational leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery and performance. The CTO will have management oversight of the Biomedical and Systems Engineering, Technology and Infrastructure, Service Desk, Switchboard and Locating, and the Information Security and Access Teams. The CTO will work closely with the CIAO, their direct reports (up to 4), other members of the Executive Team, Clinical Systems and Informatics/Epic team, Institute of Better Health, THP Solutions and clinical teams to identify and prioritize technology investments that improve the patient and staff experience, enhance productivity and information security, enhance innovation and/or reduce costs. Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for creating a technology roadmap, in alignment with the Digital Health Committee and THP’s Digital and Analytics Roadmap. The roadmap will include plans for implementing innovative technologies, upgrading existing systems, informing technology decisions required for THP Health Works and retiring legacy systems.
- Provide senior technical leadership oversight for the development, negotiation, and maintenance of vendor and supplier contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to reduce capital and operational costs aligned with strategic technological and operational goals; monitor and address issues with vendor and supplier performance and/or adherence to contract terms, SLAs, and legal, regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements.
- Lead development of Departments’ operating and capital budget for CIAO approval, in alignment with THP’s evergreen plans; monitor and manage budget variances with their direct reports. Develop the annual technology evergreen plan to ensure systems remain current and supported.
- Ensure effective and efficient project management and technical change control principles and practices to manage a high volume of projects.
- Collaborate with clinical teams and the Clinical Systems and Informatics/Epic Division, to identify technology solutions that can improve patient care, clinical workflows, and operational efficiency. Alongside the CIAO and other members of the Executive Team, identify areas where technology can be used to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. This could include automating manual processes, optimizing supply chain management, or leveraging artificial intelligence (AI).
- Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of a robust technology infrastructure that is secure, reliable, and scalable. This includes ensuring that the hospital's data storage, management, and analysis systems are up-to-date and meet industry standards for security and compliance.
- Developing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures and incident response plans to ensure that the hospital's cybersecurity, and compliance practices are in line with industry standards and best practices. This includes staying up to date with regulatory requirements and working closely with legal, risk, insurance and compliance teams to ensure the hospital complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Lead and mature the cyber security program to ensure hospital digital resources and assets remain available and secure. Work with regional partners, other hospitals and Ontario Health to ensure alignment with regional and provincial security policies, practices and initiatives.
- Develop, implement, execute, and maintain hospital wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans to address electrical or systems outages or errors with broad operational or clinical impact in collaboration with the Risk, Patient Care Services, facilities management, and planning teams.
- Build and lead high-performing teams that are aligned with the hospital's mission, values, and goals. This includes providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to ensure that teams are motivated, engaged, inclusive, diverse and focused on delivering value to the hospital and focused on THP’s anti-black racism journey.
- Responsible for ensuring that the hospital's technology solutions are accessible, user-friendly, and meet the needs of a diverse patient population. This includes evaluating the usability of technology solutions and working closely with clinical partners such as the Mississauga Ontario Health Team and participating in regional and provincial collaborations.
- Proactively anticipate future business and technical needs to assess their potential impact on the hospital's operations and patient care. Qualifications:

Position Summary:
The Clinic Clerical Assistant provides clerical support for patient adminstrative services; information management; unit reception; ensures the clerical administration and operation of the unit; and performs other duties consistent with the job classification as required.
Job Description:
Patient Administrative Services
• Liaises with internal departments and external healthcare facilities to book/cancel tests, appointments, internal patient transfer, external patient transport/escort, etc, as required.
• Transcribes and enters physician orders including medication, lab and imaging orders into appropriate system.
• Enters data including appointment requests, menu/diet requests, patient transfer and discharge documentation.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of patient movement, test results, appointments and other patient information in a timely and accurate manner.
Information Management
• Prepares and updates patient charts with lab reports, test results and other pertinent information. Scans and copies chart, pharmacy orders and other information as required.
• Ensures patient charts are sent to Health Records with all accurate and required patient information.
• Updates WHIMS/MDS binders/information sheets as required.
Reception
• Greets visitors and staff, directing them to appropriate personnel and/or destination/room providing assistance as required.
• Greets and admits patients to the unit. May also perform unit patient registration function, confirming/validating patient demographic, insurance (including OHIP) and other required information as appropriate.
• Explains hospital policy and procedures to patients, visitors and staff as necessary (including infection prevention and control).
• Answers the telephone and/or intercom, responding to enquiries within scope of authority, or, directing to most appropriate person.
• Takes, prioritizes and relays messages for unit staff and/or patients. Locates unit staff, pages healthcare professionals as required.
• Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and other materials.
Ensures efficient clerical administration and operation of the unit within scope of authority
• Enters and maintains payroll records (include sick and vacation requests).
• Assists with sick replacement and vacation back fill as required.
• Updates department "fan-out" list as required.
• Requisitions and maintains office/medical supplies; counts and labels inventory as required. May be required to stock unit carts and/or supply areas.
• Ensures equipment and furniture are operational. Prepares work order requests for preventative and restorative maintenance/repair as required.
• Contacts environmental services for cleaning of equipment and/or unit as required.
• Processes routine financial transactions including unit supply/inventory purchase and charges for services/items not covered by patient's healthcare plan.
• Reviews and reconciles invoices.
• Compiles statistical data to generate and prepare standardized reports on a monthly basis.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
- Performs cross-functional, and/or, other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
- Works in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contravention’s of the Act, in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Completion of high school or recognized equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course is required.

Reporting to both the Inpatient Medicine and Outpatient Medicine & Regional CKD Program Directors, this Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:
- Organizing, coordinating and prioritizing daily activities within the portfolio, including scheduling/coordinating meetings, managing calendars and emails,
- Developing meeting materials, including agendas and minutes,
- Preparing communications, briefings & presentations, preparing and editing executive level communications, briefing notes and powerpoint presentations and managing excel spreadsheets and databases,
- Supporting corporate committees,
- Supporting program workplace initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education combined with 2 years of community college secretarial and/or equivalent work-related experience providing office and clinical administration services,
- Previous experience working as a Program Administrative Assistant in a hospital setting preferred,
- Priority in coordinating schedules of two leaders to ensure alignment and shared accountability,
- Advanced technical skills in Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, MS Project, videoconference and teleconference set up, and medical terminology knowledge,
- Ability to manage multiple calendar activities, including booking meetings with internal and external stakeholders, planning and coordinating special events, and assisting with travel arrangements for the Program Director(S),
- Experience and ability in minute-taking, dictation and transcription; well-developed keyboarding skills (50 w.p.m. minimum-accuracy),
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written, combined with a customer-focused approach and ability to handle requests in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner,
- Proven abilities in preparing, designing and distributing internal/external correspondence, including: reports, presentations, proposals, letters, memos, minutes of meetings, etc.

On completion of the IIOP program, participants will have foundational, theoretical and practical critical care knowledge and experiences for a successful start as a novice critical care RN. This program requires a significant commitment from both THP and the RN.
To meet this goal, THP is collaborating with Michener Institute to provide the critical care nurse certification course (11 weeks). Michener is a leading academic institution in Ontario. It is known for its small class sizes, faculty who are experienced health care professionals, and flexible supportive learning formats.
