Our in-patient units offer first-rate care in an innovative environment supporting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients. We are dedicated to building a diverse workforce that reflects the community in which we live and serve.   Reporting to a Clinical Manager, the ideal candidate will be focused on providing excellent patient centered care in a dynamic environment where he/she will be given the opportunity to deliver care with compassion, excellence and courage. Key Responsibilities:   • Communications strategy : Produce or oversee the development of communications materials including research, writing, editing, and creative conceptualization for various internal and external communications initiatives • Project management: Develop detailed tactical communications plans aligned with the overall requirements of various internal projects and initiatives • Strategic counsel: Provide strategic communications advice to internal clients to support the development of communication products • Issues management: Ability to manage risk and respond to emerging issues • Digital strategy: Experience in understanding how to leverage digital technology solutions and incorporate digital, social and web strategies to support communications plans Qualifications:   • Combined Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate studies in communications/public relations or equivalent • 5+ years of experience in communications and public affairs in progressively senior roles • Exceptional oral and written communication skills - strong writing, editing and production skills - familiar with Canadian Press Style • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills; excellent customer relations and client management skills; ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities • Proven experience in working with complex communications structures and programs at multiple levels of an organization, with the ability to manage multiple clients • Creation and development of strategic communications documents, including communication plans, memos, key messages, letters, newsletters, media releases, briefing notes and backgrounders • Issues management experience • Strong conceptual skills; systems thinking and ability to deal with ambiguity • Knowledge of provincial governments, and Ministries of Health and Long-Term Care, is an asset • Understanding of the regional health care landscape is an asset • Experience working with leadership and executives • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications • Experience working with Creative Media is an asset (i.e. Video, photography, InDesign, Photoshop)   Position Location and Travel:   This position is currently hybrid, with a preference to working on-site (89 Queensway West, Mississauga) based on the organization’s needs.
