Position   The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre at the Trillium Health Partners Credit Valley Hospital is seeking a permanent, full-time Medical Physicist, who will work in collaboration with the medical physics team to provide clinical support. The Credit Valley Hospital is a teaching hospital of University of Toronto, and the radiation oncology program is recognized by its high quality, high efficiency and innovations in safety and patient-centered care. You are a medical physicist who demonstrates passion and innovation for advancing medical physics. Opportunity   The Radiation Treatment Program (RTP) of the Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre is a fully integrated and electronic program that treats >4000 patients per year. The Cancer Centre is equipped with six Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and two CT simulators (Canon Aquilion Exceed Large Bore and Philips Big Bore Brilliance). A fully networked infrastructure for treatment planning on Varian Eclipse on a Citrix platform for seamless treatment planning and delivery.  The Varian ARIA oncology information system provides full electronic data for Radiation Oncology. Current clinical programs include Linac-based Stereotactic Radiosurgery utilising HyperArc as well as a state-of-the-art Brachytherapy suite (Elekta Nucletron, Flexitron afterloader).  Plans are underway for an expansion of the Cancer Centre, infrastructure includes the addition of two Varian Halcyons with HyperSight, one Varian Ethos 2.0 and an Xstrahl 200 Orthovoltage X-ray therapy machine.      The Medical Physics department is integrated in the RTP in relation to its clinical, education and research mandate as defined by the mission and objectives of Ontario Health-Cancer Care Ontario and Trillium Health Partners.  The department currently includes twelve medical physicists, four full-time and two part-time physics associates, three electronics technologists, as well as a shared administrative assistant; all of whom report to the Head of Medical Radiation Physics.  An active Medical Physics Residency Program (one position) is supported through affiliation with the University of Toronto Department of Radiation Oncology (UTDRO) CAMPEP accredited residency program.   The successful candidate will posses the ability to work well in a strong, team-oriented environment and be responsible for all clinical and technical aspects of the medical physics program. The Role The Associate, Donor Experience will play a key role in elevating the onboarding and annual donor journey experiences by enhancing current recognition and stewardship touch points and implementing net new tactics.   The Associate, Donor Experience will also provide support in the creation of meaningful core stewardship events, gift announcements and celebrations, as well as gathering relevant and timely information and socializing with the broader Philanthropy team.   The Associate, Donor Experience will also provide support with campaign recognition for new donors as well as current legacy donors.    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Work with the Manager, Donor Experience to plan and execute new touchpoints to elevate the annual donor journey experience, including the onboarding of new donors. - Assist with the development of donor-centred communications, including video messaging, email messaging, postcards, and newsletters. - Help facilitate the enhancement and elevation of Year-in-review communications. - Plan and implement a forum for THP leadership, scientists, and physicians to express gratitude to donors. - Assist with the execution of deliverables for annual President’s Circle Gala and other stewardship events that arise during the year. - Support the team with execution of tactics aligned with stewardship deliverables for gift announcements that require coordination across different teams. - Assist team with execution of donor facing deliverables for special celebration events that follow the formal gift announcement event. - Help operationalize the campaign recognition and stewardship strategy for THP’s upcoming redevelopment projects by capturing all new donor commitments in RE and adding action items for follow-up. They serve as a resource person for personnel within and outside the department.   Responsibilities:   - Evaluating performance, determining related training and orientation requirements, monitoring compliance with quality assurance testing, and providing input to the manager (or designate) as required. - Overseeing the setup and maintenance of the OR case cart system by verifying loaner medical device sets/ equipment as complete, received, processed, and returned and providing related feedback to the manager as required. - Monitors and maintains inventory of equipment and supplies by performing duties such as making recommendations for changes to inventory levels, reordering, and adjusting of JITt/par levels as necessary. Maintains a library of equipment and supplies catalogues and places orders in conjunction with the buyer/ purchaser. - Monitors expenditures and makes recommendations to Manager regarding budget(s) for the department. - Oversees and updates standards and procedures, revises and implements policies and procedures, including those of the case cart system. Works collaboratively with the Manager to update departmental standards and procedures.
