Regional Cancer Programs/Regional Cancer Centres are part of Ontario’s cancer system leading local strategy implementation to provide person-centred, safe, equitable, efficient, effective, and timely cancer care on a foundation of quality improvement principles. Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Director, Regional Cancer Program, the role of the Project Management and Strategy Lead is to provide innovative leadership and direction to drive performance and ensure the delivery of high quality cancer services across the Region in alignment with strategic initiatives. A specific emphasis in the portfolio includes furthering initiatives in Primary Care, Prevention, Health Promotion and Cancer Screening to support regional recovery efforts and inform impact across the cancer continuum. The Project Management and Strategy Lead will lead a team to ensure strategic alignment with key initiatives and deliverables. The role will include accountability to ensure program needs are addressed by leading system level project plan development; monitoring and reporting on progress, problems and solutions, escalating as necessary; applying change management principles to promote uptake of key initiatives; and leading and supporting the project management and quality team to create presentations and proposals to further the strategic direction of the Regional Cancer Program. As the Project Management and Strategy Lead, you will work with a diverse group of external stakeholders to provide innovative leadership to support positive and measureable impact for patients in the region. The role is responsible for working to achieve the goals of the Regional Cancer Program Strategic Plan, and the Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) Cancer Plan 5.
