Overview: In this position as Behaviour Therapist (BT) with the Peel Behavioural Services (PBS) Healthy Sexuality Team you will be responsible for supporting clients living in Christian Horizons residential settings in Halton Region. As the BT you will work with clients with developmental disabilities who have exhibited challenging sexualized behaviours. Using the Good Lives Model and Self-Regulation approaches, you will assess and implement treatment plans to support positive life goals for the clients. The purpose of these goals are to help promote a healthy lifestyle while keeping themselves and the community safe. Psychotherapy is used in compliance with the Psychotherapy Act 2020.     Job Description: Behavioural Therapists in the Healthy Sexuality Program are responsible for but not limited to the following: - Providing treatment and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses and complex behavioural needs - Working with clients in collaboration with a partner agency in a residential setting - Travel outside of the Peel region is required - Conducting Functional Behavioural Assessments/Risk Assessments through indirect/direct methods and the use of assessment tools - Developing and implementing treatment plans - Creating materials that support the treatment plan - Utilizing a variety of service delivery models to best meet the needs of the client/mediator i.e. face-to-face, phone, and video conferencing software - Collecting and graphing behavioural data for analysis of trends and making modifications based on review of outcome data - Completing progress summaries and discharge reports - Maintaining appropriate documentation for client file - Training mediators (e.g., parents, teachers, support staff, community partners etc.) to implement empirically-validated ABA techniques and evidence based best practices - Providing counselling and coaching with respect to Offence Specific Self-Regulation/Healthy Sexuality treatment programs that are individualized to the client/family supported so as to achieve socially significant outcomes - Attending training opportunities and disseminating information across PBS team - Assisting in the orientation and training of university and college students completing educational placements - Supervising Behavioural Associates as needed - Engaging in continuous learning to remain current with respect to the research regarding best practices - Developing curriculum and materials to facilitate group intervention sessions - Collaborating with community agencies, schools, partner agencies, internal/external consultants and other departments within the hospital - Developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with relevant community partner agencies and other program staff - Using empirically validated and evidence based practice as well as evidence indicated practices all within an ethical framework - Adhering to applicable standards of practice (i.e. BACB/Controlled Psychotherapy Act) - Reviewing and documenting client cases for biweekly supervision with Senior Behaviour Therapist/team meetings - Representing PBS at internal/external case conferences and workplace committees - Performing others duties as requested by the PBS manager or SBT     Qualifications: - Post graduate degree preferred in social services, psychology or a related field - Registration with a professional regulatory body under the Psychotherapy Act (i.e. Ontario College of Social Work and Social Services Workers, College of Psychology, College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, College of Nurses of Ontario, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) - This position facilitates the interpretation and integration of financial and clinical information to enable effective, efficient program business planning and management. As a pro-active business partner, the Senior Business Advisor will work in connection with the RCP’s key stakeholders including Financial teams and management from partner organizations (Trillium Health Partners, William Osler, Headwaters and Halton Healthcare) to build workflows and ensure effective communication and collaboration between partners and the RCP. This role is accountable for coordinating the annual budget process, monthly analysis and reporting, linking budget and funding for recommendations on revenue recognition, being an expert in funding and methodology, informing the development of strategic action plans to ensure funds are managed effectively, completing forecasts to ensure year end balanced results are achieved, and manage all external reporting requirements. Job Description: The ICU at the Mississauga Hospital Site is approximately a 31 bed, level 3 medical/surgical critical care unit staffed by an interprofessional team which supports regional programs including the neuro patient population within the Mississauga-Halton LHIN.
